Taup · last updated 21 October 2026
Taup is an AI coaching app made by Indigo LLC, which is responsible for
the data described here. This policy describes what it stores, why,
and how to get rid of it. It is written to be read rather than to be
survived.
What is collected
- Your account. When you sign in with Apple or Google we receive an account identifier and, if you allow it, an email address. Signing in with an email and password stores that email address. If your Apple or Google account shares your name, it is stored with your account too; Taup doesn't display it or use it for anything. Signing in with Apple's Hide My Email is fully supported and nothing here needs your real address.
- What you tell Taup. Your goals, the answers you give during the goal interviews, your evening check-ins, and anything you type or dictate in the chat or say to Taup through Siri.
- What you do in the app. Which things you marked done or missed, when, and the reasons you gave, and how often and when you last used Taup through Siri.
- Settings. Your time zone, your check-in time, the date you last opened the app (so notifications can stop when you're away rather than pile up), a notification token for each device you turn notifications on for, and, if you subscribe, when your subscription or free trial renews and whether it's set to, so Taup can build each day's plan ahead of time and remind you before a trial ends.
- Subscription purchases. When you start a trial, subscribe, renew, cancel or are refunded, RevenueCat tells Taup's server, and a record of it is kept: which plan, when, the price and currency, your country, any offer code used, and the App Store's transaction numbers, with your account identifier. It's how people who recommend Taup are paid. Never your card or payment details, which only Apple sees.
- A creator's code. If you enter the code of someone who recommended Taup, it's kept on your account, so they can be paid if you subscribe. They're never told who you are.
- How the app is used. A small set of named events, such as opening the app, marking something done, or finishing a check-in, recorded with Google Analytics against your account identifier. This is how we find out whether the app is actually helping people and where it breaks. It never includes what you wrote: no goals, answers, check-in text or chat.
- When something goes wrong. If part of Taup fails while handling something you did, such as saving a check-in or sending a reminder, an error report is logged with your account identifier so the problem can be found and fixed. It records the error, not what you wrote.
What is not collected
- No advertising identifiers, and no tracking across other apps or websites. Analytics data is not used for advertising or combined with data from anywhere else.
- No payment details. Subscriptions are handled by Apple; we never see your card.
- No location, contacts, photos, or health data.
- Dictation uses your device's own speech recognition, and Siri turns what you say into text before Taup receives it. Audio is not recorded or sent to us.
Who it is shared with
Three processors, each doing one job: Google Firebase
stores your data, runs the backend, and records the usage events
and error reports described above; Anthropic
receives the context needed to generate your plans and replies;
RevenueCat manages subscription status. Your data is
not sold, and is not used to train anyone's models.
Deleting everything
Settings → Delete account removes your account and every document
belonging to it. It is immediate and cannot be undone. You do not have
to email anyone to do this.
What's kept is the record of subscription purchases described above,
and the creator's code if you entered one, because the business's
accounts and the people paid for recommending Taup depend on them. Your
Taup account identifier is removed from them, and from anything that
arrives about the subscription afterwards.
Deleting your account doesn't cancel an Apple subscription: cancel it
in your Apple ID settings.
